So I'm back from New York
I still feels like I'm on the plane :c It was one of the best weeks of life 8D; Everything was so amazing but so much jet lag D:
The city was amazing, the people were so friendly, the buildings were stunning and the place was just packed with life. We did miles of walking each day and I got so much research for college and generally had a hell of a time
One the first day
waking up really early made our way to Heathrow to get on the plane to JFK. So much turbulence on the flight but the staff on Virgin Atlantic so were nice and there were loads of films to watch. Got to the hotel, unpacked when for tea at a local deil then a quick walk around Manhattan before heading back to the Hotel to sleep.
Next day, when to Dunkin' Doughnuts for breakfast but we couldn't even finished two of them each so filling but tasty, then catching a few subway trains to get to the ferry which would take us past the Statue of Liberty (we couldn't go on Liberty Island as the jetty was destroyed in Sandy) but we got pretty close anyway
Then we walking across the Brooklyn Bridge which was really interesting and I brought a lovely ink piece there
Then lunch at a tiny little pizza place which was delicious, then shopping where were found a massive fat cat in a box in a record shop. Then a tour of Radio City and its incredible Art Decor design, then to the Guggenheim and then we all made our way onto a bus to a Mexican grill and oh my god why did no-one tell me that burritos were that good *u* And then we walked back to the hotel to go to the Empire State which was two blocks down from it. It was really stormy and windy at the top which made it all the more fun
Deil again for breakfast
it's so good ;m;. Subway to Natural History Museum, did a lot of research and saw so many dinosaurs. Avenue of the Americas and brought a pretzels and hot dog for lunch
St. Patrick's Cathedral were I light a candle then down to this amazing candy shop *u* It looked amazing, then back to the meeting place, stopping to visit a giant logo store. Subway to Times Square to Hard Rock Café which was my favourite place to eat, we had massive burgers under Bill Clinton's saxophone. Walked through Times Square to see Mamma Mia was which mind-blowing even though I don't like the film. Cabs back to the hotel and slept.
Breakfast, then 9/11 Memorial Gardens then Grand Central were I had the world's best cheesecake and sorbet OuO Museum of Modern Art which was amazing, more research and got to see so many interesting pieces in real life. Then Chinatown were I did a fair bit of shopping, Irish pub for tea in Times Square again and then my friends and I went on one of the big screens. Cabs back to the hotel were we did a bit of exploring (the ballroom and the abandoned kitchen, there was a framed picture of Jesus, a load of mattresses and spiny chairs and a knife in a desk).
Final day, the Metropolitan were they had a massive Egyptian display, hot dogs for lunch then back on the coach to JFK.
It was an incredible, wonderful week with awesome people 8D I loved every single second of it
And now I am
very tired so bed times for me
